Every year, on the occasion of Hermitage Day, our Association organises its traditional trip to Saint Petersburg: a unique opportunity to visit the palaces and treasures of the Tsars. Discovering the city unfolds over two days, enriched by events organised by the Museum and by the enchanting Hermitage Friends Gala Evening, hosted in the splendid spaces made available to us.
The programme includes visits to the palaces and museums surrounding the Hermitage complex, with the chance to rediscover exclusive collections that, after lengthy restorations, have not yet reopened to the public. It will also be interesting to see how the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collections have been installed in the former General Staff Building. We will devise a special itinerary to explore the treasures of the Tsars up close.
The welcome at the Hermitage is private and exclusive: the Museum closes its doors to the public and opens them solely to members of the Associations and Foundations that represent it around the world. The occasion holds a special charm: the largest museum in the world, far from the crowds of tourists, allows our guests to admire priceless masterpieces at leisure.
In addition to the exclusive events organised for delegations inside the Hermitage, the Association arranges guided tours of places of great charm and atmosphere.
